Easter

We had a GREAT Easter weekend! On Saturday, we dyed eggs. Charlotte had a lot of fun & was very proud of her colorful eggs.

On Saturday night, we went to the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Mary's with my parents. Charlotte liked the candlelit portion of the service, but got tired later on. Mass was longer than we anticipated (almost 2.5 hours!), and she could be heard a couple of times asking to go home. She was very patient and the people around us told us often how darling she is (as if we didn't know!!). :o)

The Easter Bunny was very good to Charlotte! He left her baskets of goodies at our house AND at Grandma & Grandpa's house! At our house, she got a couple new Duck & Goose books, a new sippy cup, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, finger puppets, and a magnifying glass to check out nature! At Grandma's house, she got a baseball mitt, a chocolate bunny, and lots of other candy. She also found several little baskets at Mr. Ron's house with candy, stickers, and bubbles inside! (sorry, I got caught up & forgot to take pictures!)

On Easter morning, Charlotte woke up "late" (8:00) and then we helped her find all 12 of her dyed eggs that the Easter Bunny hid! She did such a great job finding the eggs around the living room!

Then we went to Grandma & Grandpa's house for brunch. I snapped this adorable picture of Charlotte having a tea party with Grandma before we ate. :o)

After the tea party & a big brunch, Charlotte was ready for a nap! Here she is snuggled up with the horse Ben brought home for her from his recent trip to Colorado.

After her nap, we headed over to my parents' house to hang out with my brothers, hunt for easter baskets, and have dinner. Charlotte enjoyed blowing bubbles out on the back porch & running around Mr. Ron's house.

We're so glad to live close by to both sets of grandparents (and great-grandparents), but holidays can be exhausting! We were all ready for a nice long night of sleep after a very lovely Easter!
