I was worried that when we did get called (about 40 mins after our appt time - and after Charlotte asking "is it our turn yet?" after every other name was called), Natalie would be grouch if she had to wake up just to be undressed, poked, and stuck with needles. I should have known better! In true, laid-back Natalie style, she was a total doll the whole time!
(When our name was called, all my side of the waiting room heard was "----ee Steers." And I heard a little kid nearby say, "her name is Britney Spears!!")
Natalie is growing well. She weighed 12 pounds 8 ounces (15%ile - up 5.5lbs since birth) and was 25" tall (73%ile - up 5" since birth). Dr. Boe examined her hips & said he feels no movement in the socket, which is great news & confirms the findings from the ultrasound a couple weeks ago.
Then came time for her vaccinations. She got two shots in her legs & one oral vaccine. Charlotte was very concerned that Natalie was nervous & that they would hurt. She stood on a little stool next to the exam table & held Natalie's little hand. Natalie didn't cry at all! In fact, she didn't even flinch until the second shot, but she was too busy listening to Charlotte's encouraging words to notice any pain. "Be brave, Natalie. It'll be ok."
We are so extremely blessed that Natalie is perfectly healthy after making her surprise early entrance. She is such a sweet, happy baby.
