Charlotte has been able to sound out simple 3-letter words for close to a year now, but hasn't really been too enthusiastic about learning to read. Until recently!
Some mom friends recommended the BOB Books beginner readers, so I picked a set up last week at Barnes & Noble. We sat down together in the store to try the first book in the series and Charlotte liked it! As soon as we got home, she asked to read another! She's read the first 5 so far and is excited to keep going through the box. I like that they use the same characters through the series, sight words are added very gradually, and they're short enough to match her attention & stamina.
