Chompers!

Charlotte cut her first tooth about a week ago, and its sidekick came in a few days after that. My mom and dad came to stay with us for just a couple of days while Ben was playing a gig out-of-state and my mom stuck her finger in Charlotte's mouth within the first 30 minutes she was here. "She's got a tooth in here!" she says. Arrgh! We've been feeling the child's gums for weeks thinking a tooth was on its way!

She's very protective of the little things and getting a good photo of them has been pretty much impossible. Ben was able to snap these two pictures tonight while I had her squealing and laughing at my terrible dancing around the kitchen. Trust me - they're there - and they're sharp!!

It's hard to tell how much they've been bothering her (you know, since she's never been a great sleeper). She's super happy & charming all day long. She's been drooling and gnawing on anything and everything she can get into her mouth, but that's it. We've been alternating tylenol and ibuprofen when she gets fussy at night or is running a low fever. Baby Orajel seems to work somewhat, although she HATES it. For a few days she didn't want to nurse or take a bottle - I'm guessing because the sucking put extra pressure on her gums. But her appetite is back in a big way this week!

Our little baby has TEETH!!!
