11 Months

11 Months?!?!?! How is that even possible? The last month has flown by. Charlotte continues to grow and change right before our very eyes. Every day she learns something new or does a new trick. Ben and I usually just stop and watch her - there's nothing else we can do. We're trying to savor every last minute of her time as a baby.

Charlotte cut her third tooth last week - after writing this post just about a month ago. It's the top right tooth, and it's next-door-neighbor (lateral incisor) is not far behind. The other front tooth is pretty close, too. Hopefully they'll come out quickly & she (and we) can catch a break before the next teething episode.

That's a bottle of teething tablets she's holding...

With only two teeth, Charlotte's sticking to purees still. During the worst of her teething, she was eating and drinking very little. Her appetite is back now, though, so that's good. She does eat some finger foods, her favorite being Cheerios. She also likes string cheese, tiny pieces of meat, Puffs, bread, noodles, sometimes she'll eat small veggies - like peas or carrots. Her favorite food is still pureed avocado.

She loves to figure out how to operate anything with a button. She is soooo cute with her little pointer finger out, poking at switches and buttons. She learned last week how to turn her Glow Worm on and now we get to hear her sing along after naps.

While she's really only saying "dada" and "kitty" consistently, she does use several signs. She uses the same sign for mom and dad (they're very similar), and she uses signs for milk, more, and all done. She also has an arsenal of baby tricks - high fives, blowing kisses, clapping, waving, and kissing with her lips ('mmmwah' noise included) keep the crowds entertained. Ben's also been wrestling with her a lot lately, so she also knows how to smack & hit, and she thinks anyone getting hit in the head is hilarious.... Thanks, Ben.

Most importantly, she remains healthy and happy. I'm looking forward to her one-year check up (back at Dr. Boe's office in IL) to see how much she's grown. I know she's growing because her 12 month clothes are starting to get pretty short and tight!

It's hard to believe, but her next monthly update photo will be taken in IL - we're moving in 11 days!
