Sick While Pregnant

Charlotte's been on the mend, but Ben and I are pretty sick now. I think it's just a bad cold. Ben said he's had the flu & this isn't that bad, and I believe him, just from how I've heard other people describe their bouts with flu.

I feel terrible that we don't have the energy or stamina to keep up with Charlotte. She's been doing pretty well playing independently, but definitely wants us back to our regular selves. I worry about letting certain things slide, since we're into week 2 of being under the weather now. She's been watching a lot more TV than I like, not getting outdoors to play really all. Ben took her out for about 15 mins the other day to build a snowman & she was in heaven! I've also been feeding her whatever she wants or will eat just to make sure she eats something while she's sick. Fewer veggies than normal, eating lean pockets off of my plate, and getting to eat Apple Jacks for dinner are just a few examples of how we've been lenient!

I forgot just how miserable life can be when you're sick while pregnant. Ben gets to take all the good meds, while I'm stuck with plain old Tylenol. No fun!! But, it will soon pass & we can be thankful that it wasn't anything more serious than a few bad colds!
