Well, we made it through the winter, all the way to March, before Charlotte got sick with a seasonal cold. We've been pretty lucky with her and illness so far. I think she's had two other slight colds, a bout of hand, foot, and mouth disease, and of course the
chicken pox. This cold, though, is the pits! I'm so thankful it's nothing worse, but this has been the scene at our house for a week now.

I'm loving all of the extra cuddle time with Charlotte, but after 5 days of being trapped in the house, I'm ready for her to be well again! We'll need to skip Musikgarten tomorrow (which is such a bummer, but I don't want the other kiddos to get this), but she is going to the doctor. She has her 18-month well-child checkup in the afternoon (even though she won't be quite "well" but I didn't want to reschedule). She's been a trooper through it all - even managing a smile from time-to-time!
Last night she slept really well in her "big girl bed" after turning down a bath! Not only is it odd for a toddler to ask to go to bed, but Charlotte LOVES bath time. Just goes to show she's not faking it!
She woke up this morning happy and has been feeling better today, so hopefully that's a sign the worst is over. She had fun climbing on couch cushions with her baby (baby is waving in this pic), watched some cartoons, and she just woke up from an epic 3-hour nap!!
A HUGE shout-out to Becky DiVerde for running to the store for me this morning! Ben's working super long days at the ISU
New Music Festival and has only been home to sleep this week. I ran out of children's Tylenol, milk, bread, and OJ and Becky saved the day by doing my grocery shopping for me!! You're the best, Becky!! :o)
