Nat's been scampering up the stairs pretty much since the day she learned how to crawl (almost a year ago????), but this morning was the first time I saw her go down them all on her own, one step at a time on her tummy. When did she learn how to do that?
She calls me "Mimi" and it's seriously the sweetest thing ever. If I go upstairs to put laundry away, clean the bathroom, or leave the kids to play with Ben while I relax for a few minutes, it's only a matter of time before I hear that sweet voice at the bottom of the stairs.
"Mimi? Mimi??? Miiimmiiiiiiii?"
She's saying about 10 words, or variations of words now.
Mimi
Daddy
Baby
Bye
Hi
Ball
Down
Grandma
Boomer
Pants like a dog
Nah - for no
mmhmm - for yes
And sometimes she'll say her own version of kitty or Donny.
I'm soaking up every last bit of baby in her, since I'll wake up one day soon and she'll be reading...................
Charlotte made a few letter animals last week. I had great intentions of spelling out the word "Thanksgiving" and turning each letter into an animal or object to practice letter sounds. But Thanksgiving is now less than a week away and we only have 3 letters done so far.

While she was showing the letter animals to my dad, he arranged them to spell HAT and to our amazement, she sounded it right out! Today we were doing her name letters puzzle and I arranged some more simple words for her to sound out and she picked up on it so quickly!
Sweet Charlotte, who was just born like 3 months ago, right??? is now sounding out words????
They learn and grow and learn and grow so quickly.
